Toronto Soft Loft Buildings
Lofts in Toronto

Earl Street Lofts - 21 Earl Street

This is a strange loft development, more townhouse than loft, really. But since they have multiple levels and bedrooms overlooking living areas, they can be considered soft lofts. Located just east of Jarvis, north of Wellesley, they are sure to become better know and more popular as the Steam Plant Lofts is completed to the south.

Developed by Aykler Real Estate in 2004, the Earl Lofts is a 4-storey stick built loft style building housing 58 lofts. Most are two level mezzanine style soft lofts ranging from 596 square-foot one bedroom units to 923 square-foot one bedroom plus den lofts.

Single level lofts usually are either below grade or on the first floor and they vary from 324 square-foot studios to 859 square-foot one bedroom plus den units. Some lofts have balconies. There are no facilities at the Earl Lofts and condo fees are low, but do not include heat and hydro.

This is a very difficult building to find as it is located behind the townhomes on the south side of Earl Street (just east of Jarvis). It is easiest to access Earl Lofts from Wellesley Lane (off Wellesley Street East). Earl lofts is a cool little new loft development.
